SO WHO IS PELT ???
Pelt are a five piece band, playing immensely powerful Goth pop/rock songs, swimming in beautiful harmonies and enticing melodies sung by the the Rogers Sisters. Guitarist Bridgitte writes most of the bands songs, while Lana's vocals have been likened to Julianne Regan (All About Eve) and Debby Harry amongst others, and on the debut album "PUNG" Lana's vocals shine through against a backdrop of musical supremacy.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN
It all began in the Rogers Family Living Room, A love for the Rolling Stones and encouragement from their Nan and Brother Ken. Lana and Bridgitte's preformances with hairbrushes as microphones was the start of something phenomenal.  After the loss of their Nan, the two girls decided to take their talents further, as a tribute to her. Playing in pubs and bars around their home town of Falmouth (still the base of the Band).  They later recruited Rob Carter on bass and Matt Buckett on drums ( both art students) into the band, Matt chose to continue his studies away from Falmouth and the line up changed as drummers came and went. Matt returned and the original line up was back together. Jooli is the latest addition to the fold, formally a bass player, she was persuaded to give the keyboard a go and is now an essential element of the band’s live sound.

DISCOVERED
Pelt were discovered by former Big Country bass player Tony Butler. Impressed by their sound and Bridgitte's bittersweet lyrics, Tony signed them to his record label "Great West Records" and in late 1997 the E.P. "Fuzzy" was recorded.  The band started to develop further under Tony's guidance, supporting Big Country on a UK club tour, various London gigs , The Plymouth Soundwaves Festival in front of 30,000 people and regular pub and club dates around Cornwall.
They also appeared on local radio, TV and in Kerrang Magazine.

THE MILLENNIUM AND BEYOND
Now in the new Millennium, Pelt are strong and united with a phenomenal stage presence and with a sound to match, determined to show the world their talent.  2001 was a very busy year in the world of Pelt, playing in and around Dublin, Ireland, over St Patricks Weekend also appearing on the Irish TV show "Fish". A few months later they played several gigs which included the Garage and Barfly in London, which ran in conjunction with the release of their first single, the Donna Summer disco hit classic I Feel Love.  In July 2001, Pelt released their debut album "Pung". Then in August 2001 they embarked on "The Great Pung Tour", a 24 date tour of the UK and the republic of Ireland. The Irish leg of the tour included a performance at the Witnness Festival (the second biggest Festival in Ireland).

"PUNG"
Pung was released in July 2001. A 14 track album that takes you on a "rollercoaster" of emotions with the tradition mix of loud guitars, tuneful melodies and bittersweet and sensitive lyrics shrouded by the atmosphere of Cornish Gothic.  "PUNG" is representative of British pop rock at its best. Very few artists since the 1980's have given birth to a creation known as a debut album which sounds so impressive. It's eclectic span ranges from the promising, vibrant, mellow, to the beautiful.
